Using Your Talents
So many times you have said, “I can’t do this or I can’t do that like someone else, so I guess I just won’t do anything.” You say, “I can’t sing like so and so, or I can’t preach like Pastor, so I guess I just won’t do anything.” He did not call you all to sing or to preach but He gave gifts and talents to each of us. You will be judged one day on whether or not you used your talents, or if you hid them in the ground.
He did not call everyone to dance or to prophesy, and He did not call everyone to be in leadership, but what He did call us to do, He has equipped you for that calling. You must walk in your own calling because if you try to walk in someone else’s calling you will fail.
Don’t say in your heart because you have not been called into this ministry or that ministry you must not be important in the Kingdom of God. All of the gifts and talents He has given to His children is for the edifying of the body of Christ. You must not hide what He have given to you and you must not call your gifting unimportant. All gifts are important and are to edify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you will use your talents and gifts, you will be amazed at what He can do with them. Use what He has given you and more will be added unto you, but if you do not use them, then what He has given to you will be taken away and given to another.
